National Rx Summit

From March 28-31, leaders across different fields met in Atlanta, GA to participate in the fifth National Rx Drug Abuse & Heroin Summit. The Summit is the largest collaboration of federal, state, and local professionals addressing prescription drug abuse and heroin use. This year’s Summit was particularly noteworthy, as President Obama was in attendance to announce new initiatives and to discuss the opioid crisis. The President emphasized the rise in opioid use and fatalities from opioid abuse. He also stressed the importance of preventing abuse by treating mental health problems. Stay tuned for the next National Rx Drug Abuse & Heroin Summit, which will be held in Atlanta, GA from April 17-20, 2017.

EVALCORP's Approach to Evaluation and Consulting

At EVALCORP relationships matter! We take the relationship with each of our clients very seriously. One of the main priorities at EVALCORP is to provide actionable and valuable data to inform decisions. Across all evaluation and consulting engagements, the EVALCORP team adheres to the EVALCORP Project Cycle (shown above). To that end, every evaluation/consulting engagement begins with a needs assessment to best identify and determine the needs of a particular client/project.

We always work in collaboration with and in partnership with our clients throughout the evaluation to ensure the evaluation design, approach, data tools and collection methods are feasible given the project. Once we collect the necessary data, we  aim to report findings in a manner that informs decisions and shapes strategies for future growth.

A large part of our approach centers around frequent and clear communication both within the EVALCORP team and with our clients to minimize surprises and to foster collaboration. Some clients prefer email while others find phone calls or in-person meetings more productive. How do you engage with your clients or evaluator? We invite your comments below!
